Landscaping 101

I had curbing put in around my stone gardens. So now I have cement, grass and then my rocks. Do I have to dig out all of the grass or can I cover it with fabric cover and then add more stone?

Covering grass with fabric

By covering the grass with the fabric you'll be cutting off the nutrients it needs to grow. That's a pretty straight forward operation. You should have no problem doing that.
